Guidelines for refunds due to interrupted operations and compensation for trapped visitors

Promulgated and effective as of 05 April, 2017

 

  1. To protect the rights and interests of visitors to the Taipei Children's Amusement Park and ensure service quality, the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (hereinafter the Company) has established the following regulations.
  2. Interrupted operations defined in this Guideline means the Park has no way to continue provision of services due to emergency or abnormal conditions. The control center of the operations unit will confirm the incident accordingly and announce visitor evacuation.
  3. In the event of operation interruption, visitors will be refunded for their admission fees. Refunds should be made either at the Park on the day of the incident, or by the following alternatives:
    (1) e-tickets: Take the EasyCard to the ticketing booth or Visitor Center of the Park within 7 days of the incident, or to a Metro station to request a refund.
    (2) Paper tickets and group coupons: Take the ticket to the ticketing booth or Visitor Center of the Park within 7 days of the incident, or to a Metro station to request a refund.
    (3) Other tickets: Refund is based on the admission fee, and detailed regulations are based on the announcements made by the Park.
  4. For uncompleted rides of the facilities due to interrupted operations, each visitor will be given a free coupon.
  5. In addition to the compensation set forth in Point 4 above, visitors trapped in facilities for more than 10 minutes due to interrupted operations, will also receive the following on site, immediately after the event:
    (1) Visitors trapped for more than 10 minutes and less than 20 minutes will receive 3 free coupons.
    (2) Visitors trapped for more than 20 minutes and less than 40 minutes will receive 6 free coupons.
    (3) Visitors trapped for more than 40 minutes and less than 60 minutes will receive 9 free coupons.
    (4) Visitors trapped for more than 60 minutes will receive 6 extra free coupons for every additional 15 minutes trapped; any period under 15 minutes is regarded as a full 15 minutes period.
  6. The above time log starts as soon as visitors become trapped, and ends when they are released from the condition under the guidance of the site personnel.
  7. These guidelines come into effect upon promulgation, as do any amendments hereto.
